Action Volunteer Team
The Better Piggies Rescue Action Volunteer Team is comprised of existing volunteers who want to be more actively involved in the operations of the organization. This team is for existing volunteers only and must have already attended a sanctuary volunteer orientation tour prior to applying.
Sanctuary Volunteer Team
Sanctuary volunteers assist with events, tours, and other special activities at the sanctuary.
Remote Event Volunteer Team
Remote sanctuary volunteers primarily assist at remote events with rescue staff. This can be anything from fundraising events, community and coalition events as well. The goal for this team is to extend our community outreach.
Technical Rescue Team Volunteer
Technical Rescue Team volunteers assist with not only all of the above, but primarily assist with rescues in the field, emergency response, and disaster response with State and Federal partners.

Want to make a real difference for over 200 rescued pigs (plus a few cows and friends)? We’d love to have you on our volunteer team! Volunteers are the heart of our sanctuary, and we’re always looking for kind, reliable people to help with daily care, feeding, cleaning, and piggy snuggles.
To get started, all new volunteers must attend an orientation tour. It’s a fun and educational way to meet the herd, learn about pig care, and see how you can lend a hand.

Cost: $30 per person
All ages are welcome, but anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
